I just bought myself this new monitor and as I have long suspected screens are the wrong way around. It is so much easier working in portrait than landscape. Does anyone know why screens are usually in landscape?
TV has long been 4:3, so monitors followed the same ratio. Also i think it is way easier to scroll vertically then horizontally, so cutting horizontal real estate can be quite irritating.
Besides, my Windows taskbar is lined up vertically on the side ;)
But of course, depends on the application you use.

Alex
It's a Samsung SyncMaster, it swivels between landscapre and portrait, but since I bought it 3 days ago it has remained in portrait.
